MAIAA is an Icelandic pop artist and songwriter known for her emotionally charged vocals, bold lyrics, and powerful DARK-pop tracks. Her debut single Sober marked the beginning of her artist journey in the beginning of 2023

In early 2024, she competed in the Eurovision national finals in Iceland, with the song Fljúga Burt (Break Away) in collaboration with songwriter and producer Baldvin Hlynsson. The performance introduced a wider audience to her expressive sound and marked a turning point in her career.

That same spring, MAIAA released her debut EP ‘Lovesick’ a defining moment shaped by her dark pop sound. The EP was accompanied by a music video, expanding the emotional world of the project.

Her momentum continued into 2025 with the release of two singles, Ecstasy and BURN, showcasing her evolving sound and creative vision.

MAIAA is also dedicated to empowering women in music.
